hey what's the story i'm upturnedcairn !

and this place looks very rudimentary right now, but i like it.
i'm an artist that's not really on social media, and i kinda just use my tumblr as a way to put my art out there so someone can look at it. as a result, i have a strict NO CONTACT POLICY and i kinda just log on tumblr, post, and leave. i don't look at my notes !
this means that 1 year after starting my tumblr, i still have no tangible idea whether someone's looking at my stuff or not. which is GREAT ! but to push that idea even further, the next logical idea was to MAKE A REAL WEBSITE !
that's right ! the website you're looking at right now ! its job will be to host all of the art i've put online so far ! that way i don't have to worry about the impermanence of social media ! i think this is lowkey the best idea i've ever had and all it requires is for me to learn some pagination and collection stuff that feels vertiginous from my position as a complete coding newbie. but i am absolutely confident in my ability to do it. it WILL be done.
ah, and i need to make the website responsive, too. this is going to take a while. the website is MOST DEFINITELY not mobile friendly right now.
